Mueller Austin Homes – Developer Update 3 of 3

What™s next at Mueller Austin? The first of this three part series discussed the tweener lots, the second discussed Mueller Houses, and in this part I’ll discuss condos, the market district and other headline news shared by developer Catellus in a recent meeting. I’ll discuss the developer news release in a separate post.

The Greenway Lofts have finally broken ground – this is the 36 condo low-rise project which faces the Northwest Greenway between Mosaic and the Dell Children’s Medical Center. The builder is hoping for the first units to be complete in Q3 2010 for completion by the end of 2010.

The Market District aka the grocery store location is still moving forward, with a grocery tenant hopefully in place by Q1 2012.

The Town Center still has one anchor tenant – the Austin Children’s Museum. The development has shifted from a “town center in a box” implementation into a gradual evolution model.

The Control Tower renovation is underway – many of the windows which sheath the iconic structure were broken in the hail storm of 2008, and the first stage of renovation is to clean and repair the exterior.

As always, there’s more discussion at MuellerCommunity.com.

The next developer update is on Wednesday June 23rd from 6p at Mueller Central. Comment below if you can’t make the meeting and want a question answered, and I’ll try to get an answer for you.
