Since residential real estate building began in 2007, at a pretty dreadful time for the rest of the US real estate market, things have surged and paused and then carried on surging in Mueller. Homes in Mueller come in all shapes and forms. If you are looking to move to Mueller, you have come to the right place.
There is a diverse range of real estate at Mueller:
- Big box retail (Home Depot, Best Buy)
- Office parks
- Apartment complexes
- Shop houses
- A school site
- …and of course residential real estate too.
It is expected the last new construction single family homes will be sold in 2022 and this will bring to a conclusion a new direction in housing. That said, condo projects will still be underway. One of new urbanism’s poster child projects, at least in regards to single family homes, will be complete. The build out of a compact, mixed use, master-planned and walkable community will be basically finished.
The old airport was closed as it was deemed too close to the expanding city, and has become the Mueller development. Living at Mueller is convenient for the city which is now struggling with its own success – traffic is up due to the continual influx of car-dependent residents throughout the Austin metropolitan area. It’s close to Downtown. There are jobs in the mixed-use neighborhood’s employers. It is possible to walk – it’s not just live-work, it’s live-walk-work.
Mueller has parks, green spaces, and a nod to the environment in its design. If you’d like to know more about the neighborhood and get some background on homes there, give me a call (512) 829-1351. I’ve been here since the beginning, and can fill you in on real estate inventory and insights.
