As part of the next phase of residential development here at Mueller, Catellus has announced the birth of a new home style – the courtyard row home. This isn’t referenced specifically in the master development guidelines, so it is left to our imagination what this actually means.
We have two types of courtyard homes so far – the garden homes and the garden court homes, both of which have faced a common green space – gated in the case of the garden courts. So the courtyard implies to me that there will be some kind of central communal space, though it sounds more urban and less verdantly landscaped. Perhaps a row of homes facing a patio?
